Bugzilla – Bug 594
Version 1.0.1 doesn't connect with APs.
Last modified: 2005-11-23 21:52:41
You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
On version 1.0.1 it is impossible to connect with access point (version 1.0.0 works well, but there is no way to change rate). This is from dmesg ipw2200: U ipw_best_network Network 'MYESSID (00:11:22:24:33:22)' excluded because configured rate mask excludes AP mandatory rate. (I changed mac address)...
Created an attachment (id=279) [details] Add mandatory rates into supported rates This patch adds mandatory rates back into the supported rates, regardless of if the user has requested to mask them out. This should allow the driver to associate with APs that require support of basic rates that the user does not wish to use.
Please try the above patch and let us know if it changes the behavior to what you would expect.
The patch is in ipw2200 1.0.2, could you try this version to see whether the problem is resolved? Thanks.
Hi Rafal, Has this problem been resolved for you in recent versions of the driver (preferably 1.0.6)?
Since there is no more update from the reporter for serveral months and we can assoicate the APs, I verify this bug. If anyone finds this problem again, please reopen it.
