Did this test on Dell D505,FC2,2.6.7 kernel. Currently, we can't set retry limit by "iwconfig eth1 retry 5" etc. it gives error: Error for wireless request "set retry limit"(8b28): SET failed on device eth1;operation not supported.
Same issue in 0.19.
same issue in 0.21
Same in 1.0.1.
Same in 1.0.2.
Created an attachment (id=353) [details] set retry limit
ported from ipw2100 driver to enable setting retry limit in ipw2200 Need to test on different platforms to see if it is OK.
Setting the retry numbers work with the patch, such as "iwconfig eth1 retry 5". But setting the retry time doesn't work, such as "iwconfig eth1 retry lifetime 300ms".
both 2100 and 2200 don't support lifetime, this is an optional feature.
The patch is not in ipw2200 1.0.4.
Patch merged, please verfiy against 1.0.5.
