Description From 2004-11-16 00:48:38
The card that was configured to advertise an IBSS network is not able to send
Probe Responses.
repro
- configure card to advertise an IBSS no WEP network (i did it on 802.11b)
- make sure that card is beaconing
- start sniffer to capture Probe Res from the card
- force another wireless card to send Probe Request (for ex. by just turning
its radio on)
--> result - sniffer shows no Probe Res from card
