- mac80211-10.0.2.tgz (version Nov 20 2007)
- iwlwifi-3945-ucode-2.14.4.tgz (version Jun 27 2007)
- iwlwifi-1.2.22.tgz (version Nov 28 2007)

- Made kernel Linux 2.6.21.5 using Slackware 12 having mac80211
- Installed iwlwifi-3945.ucode in /lib/firmware
- Made and installed iwlwifi-1.2.22.tgz

After doing 'modprobe iwl3945' is shows (DMESG)
the name of the firmware looked for is: iwlwifi-3945-1.ucode

There is an extra '-1' in the filename!!

After renaming the filname in /lib/firmware it works very well
using wpa_supplicant and all.
