With kernel 2.6.18 my WLAN is working correctly, but not with 2.6.19-rc1. The
last char of the essid is missing in the output of iwconfig and the card won't
connect to the accesspoint.
Jean Tourrilhes has posted a patch for 2.6.18-mm1 in
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.drivers.ipw3945.devel/219 which should
solve this problem - but this seems not to help with 2.6.19.
Could anyone please look through the changes in the wireless extensions and fix
this issue?

So, I found out, the problem was at my side. But the patch is stoll needed.
I'll attach it here, so it won't get lost.

I verified this bug on the 2.6.19 with ipw3945-1.1.2 driver. This bug does not 
occur. I suggest mark this bug as VERIFIED.
